Itinerary
DAY 1: ARRIVAL INDEPENDENTLY OR WITH TRANSFER FROM AIRPORT OR RAILWAY STATION C/O HOTEL MAGNA GRECIA
Accommodation in the room, short briefing with delivery of useful itinerary materials, dinner and overnight stay
DAY 2: BREAKFAST – DEPARTURE FOR THE ITINERARY “CYCLING AMONG SMALL VILLAGES” – RETURN TO THE HOTEL, DINNER AND OVERNIGHT STAY
The itinerary that we propose is a bike ride along the small villages of Salento. A ring route that, starting from the sea, goes towards Vereto, the old Messapian city, then goes down to Patù and passing through Giuliano arrives in Barbarano, with its complex of Leuca Piccola. After a few rides, here is the sanctuary of Santa Marina in Ruggiano and a few kilometers away the oldest organ in Puglia, hosted in the church of San Nicola Magno in Salve. A short stop in Masseria Santu Lasi and we will be ready to leave and return to the hotel, where a rich dinner and a well-deserved rest will attend us.
DAY 3: BREAKFAST – DEPARTURE FOR THE ITINERARY “BETWEEN LAND AND SEA” – RETURN TO THE HOTEL, DINNER AND OVERNIGHT STAY
In this itinerary we will start from the sea and cycle along the hinterland to Tricase. The first village will be the old hamlet of Castrignano del Capo; and then, through Salignano, Arigliano and San Dana, we will arrive in Montesardo, the third highest locality of the province of Lecce. After a few rides, here is the rock settlement of Macurano; afterwards we will visit Alessano and Lucugnano, with its Palazzo Comi and its artisan shops and we will proceed to Tricase. From here we will get down to the sea and take the Litoranea to Santa Maria di Leuca.
